Almost 12,000 children are living in relative poverty (21.5%). This is higher than the London average.

Mental health

The proportion of pupils of all ages with social, emotional and mental health needs is above the London average.

Free school meals

One in six pupils are eligible for and claiming free school meals (16.6%). This is above the London average

Haringey has the second highest rate of drug use (excluding Cannabis) among 15 year olds in London. There is also a higher than average rate of young people cautioned or sentenced in the borough.
